The New York EDITION seamlessly blends the elegant design of Ian Schrager with its Madison Avenue landmark beginnings. Originally constructed in 1909 as Metropolitan Life Insurance Company’s headquarters, this clocktower, near Madison Square Park, has been ingeniously reinvented to offer luxury boutique accommodation, a tranquil hotel spa, chic new event spaces and a Michelin-starred restaurant helmed by Executive Chef Jason Atherton, all encompassed by 360-degree views of the City. The Clocktower restaurant offers updated classics and contemporary British fare by Michelin starred Chef Jason Atherton. Located on the hotel’s landmarked second floor, The Clocktower includes three uniquely-designed dining rooms, a billiards room, and a bar made entirely of gold leaf. Bespoke cocktails and Magic Owl Easy Blond Ale, brewed exclusively for The New York EDITION, are offered at the Lobby Bar, as is breakfast, lunch and light dinner.

“Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. This website will compare hundreds of hotel sites and usually will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is the best rated in this area. I've been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you for sure won't be let down.
Stayed here recently and every aspect of the stay was phenomenal. The check in agent and front desk manager were very welcoming and went out of their way to upgrade my room as it was a special weekend. The room we recived was a immaculate flatiron suite. Everything about the stay was perfect, we will be returning the next time we're in the city.”

“I'm glad I booked this with points and not paid the almost $1000/night rate as this hotel does not meet the the standards of top class hotels. The hotel is in an excellent location, but that was pretty much the only positive for us. Staff at the front desk are not particularly friendly, nor did they offer me an upgrade to a suite which I'm entitled to as a Bonvoy Titanium member (I checked and they were available). Rooms are fine at best, not up to the standard of other Edition Hotels I've stayed at around the world. One night I asked for cutlery to be sent up to the room and the staff wanted to charge me for this "service" as if I wasn't staying at a full service hotel. Thankfully they removed this charge when I protested. So, great location, but for anyone who's traveled around the world and knows what a top hotel should feel like, I wouldn't necessarily make the NY Edition your first pick. We stayed at another 5 star hotel close to Central Park for our final two nights in NY and loved every moment.”
